The Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign began on February 1, 2015, and ended on April 2 after raising over five million dollars. The campaign has continued to accept orders as an "InDemand" continuation, promising delivery several months after the first-wave backers. Based on shipping perks purchased from the campaign, over 7,000 Sondors ebikes have been purchased.
